Before-and-after School and Alternate Day Program

Located in Ingleside, Ontario, Little Lancers Daycare provides a safe, stimulat­ing environment for students whose family situations require student supervi­sion before and/or after the school day. Students attend the before-and-after school program if they are
4-years-old.

The Little Lancers Daycare Program begins at 7 a.m. and ends when the school day ends. After-school programs begin immediately following dismissal and end at 6 p.m. If school is closed early, the after-school program will begin immediately following dismissal.

 
Our exceptional before-and-after school program combines guidance and security with independent exploration to give school-age children the freedom and structure they need. They’re inventive, so we encourage dramatic play and arts and crafts. They’re adventurous, so we plan field trips, games and special visitors, and cooperate in community projects. They’re building social skills, so our teachers promote activities that foster team­work. And they’re unique, so each student’s needs are considered, from help with homework to a quiet place to read. It’s a safe, secure place where your child will have fun and you’ll have piece of mind.

 

Word smart
Likes to read, write and tell stories and excels at learning and using words

Math smart
Explores patterns and numbers, and enjoys figuring out how things work

Body smart
Uses body language, loves to move and play sports, and excels at dancing and other physical activity

Design smart
The visualizer loves to understand maps, draw, build, design and create

Music smart
Has a natural sense of rhythm, and enjoys singing, playing instru­ments and listening to music

Nature smart
Likes to be outside and care for living things

People smart
The socializer likes to work in groups, pretend to be someone else, and is sensitive to the feelings of others

Me smart
Likes to be introspective, is in-tune with their personal feelings and thoughts and enjoys working alone

Our classroom includes learning centers full of ways for kids to explore and investigate all eight areas and to build problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Little Lancers teachers supplement these experiences with group activities that focus on a variety of curricular themes. This curriculum gives children the tools they need to grow and develop into the leaders of tomorrow. Along with a strong emphasis on mathematics and literacy skills, our programs give children a framework they can use throughout school – they learn to love learning.
